Tarentaalrand Safari Lodge is
situated on the border of the Free State and Northern Cape provinces, in the
Malaria-free Kalahari Thorn veldt of South Africa.
During your visit with us, you
will experience this unique part of Africa with all its wonders, peace and
tranquillity, just as in historic times.
Your hosts, Theuns and Erika
Cloete, are both qualified Professional Hunters. We specialize in Hunting
Safaris - Bow Hunting, Cull Hunting and for fun we have our informal (social)
bird hunting, which may include a veldt picnic and much laughter. We also offer
Photographic Safaris where visitors can go on game drives or do hiking through
the veldt to go bird watching and experience the untouched African
surroundings, fresh air and panoramic views from the small hills and kopjes in
the area. Be ready for that unsurpassed sunrise and sunsets with Kimberley’s
cityscape on the horizon – only 20 km from the lodge.
Kimberley is the Diamond City of
South Africa, with its world famous Big Hole (largest man-made excavation on
earth). Other must-see attractions in and around Kimberley include the McGregor
Museum, Wildebeest Kuil Rock Art Site (on the Barkly West road), Magersfontein
Battlefield, Mokale National Park, and many others.
Tarentaalrand Safari Lodge also
boasts with its own Curio Shop where visitors can purchase that special
souvenir as reminder of his/her unique visit to South Africa and one of the
best Safari Lodges in the country.
Tarentaalrand Safari Lodge has it
all - whether you are looking for the ideal hunting experience, outstanding
game and bird watching opportunities or simply need to break away from the
stressful city life and enjoy the silence of nature in all its facets.
